FREE storytelling, crafts, authentic Mexican food, and entertainment: What else could you ask for? It’s a day of adventures and traditions at the Atlanta History Museum’s Day of the Dead Festival on Sunday, November 1. It’s a can’t-miss!
ILLINOIS
Day of the Dead or not, Pilsen’s street paintings are a must-see. These famous, local murals commemorate the one’s we’ve lost and Mexican culture as a whole.
It’s also the perfect excuse to take down the streets and participate in Carrera de los Muertos: Race of the Dead 5k on October 31.
Lastly, you can’t miss out on the opportunity to make your own ofrenda at the National Museum of Mexican Art. Help decorate the Museum into a stunning masterpiece honoring the dead.
NEW MEXICO
Revive the traditions of Mexican Immigrants and celebrate the cycle of life in Albuquerque. Head to the South Valley Dia de los Muertos Celebration and Marigold Parade on November 1. The route kicks off at the intersection of Centro Familiar and Isleta SW and ends at the West Side Community Center.
