Wondering how to celebrate with family here in the US? Well, don’t worry. We’ve gathered some of the top ways to celebrate nationwide.

ALABAMA

If you’re near Birmingham, Alabama, consider attending the Bare Hands Dia de los Muertos Festival. This family event takes place on November 3 on 1st Avenue. Bring friends and a small altar or memento of remembrance. Dress in bones or a sugar skull and be ready for a fiesta!

ARIZONA

If you’re in the Flagstaff area, head to the 12th Annual Celebraciones de la Gente on October 24 and 25 for music, dancing, art demos, crafts, food, and other fun family activities.

FLORIDA

Spend a fun-filled day with family at the 6th Annual Florida Day of the Dead Celebration on November 2 in Fort Lauderdale. Join the skeleton procession, build your own ofrenda, experience traditional performances, and explore artwork from local artists.

If you’re in Orlando, stop by the Sixth Annual City Arts Día de los Muertos & Monster Factory Exhibit, which opened October 15.

GEORGIA

FREE storytelling, crafts, authentic Mexican food, and entertainment: What else could you ask for? It’s a day of adventures and traditions at the Atlanta History Museum’s Day of the Dead Festival on Sunday, November 1. It’s a can’t-miss!

ILLINOIS

Day of the Dead or not, Pilsen’s street paintings are a must-see. These famous, local murals commemorate the one’s we’ve lost and Mexican culture as a whole.

It’s also the perfect excuse to take down the streets and participate in Carrera de los Muertos: Race of the Dead 5k on October 31.

Lastly, you can’t miss out on the opportunity to make your own ofrenda at the National Museum of Mexican Art. Help decorate the Museum into a stunning masterpiece honoring the dead.

NEW MEXICO

Revive the traditions of Mexican Immigrants and celebrate the cycle of life in Albuquerque. Head to the South Valley Dia de los Muertos Celebration and Marigold Parade on November 1. The route kicks off at the intersection of Centro Familiar and Isleta SW and ends at the West Side Community Center.

If you’re looking for some exercise in Las Cruces, put your running shoes on for El Maratón del Rio Grande. Choose any day from Saturday, October 31–Friday, November 6, 2015 to participate in a 5k community run.

Don’t forget, if you’re helping family back home remember lost loved ones, send them $10 extra on us. Create your Pangea account today and use promo code CALAVERA! No lines. No hidden fees.

Promotion ends November 2, 2015.
